Quantum Physics with relation to Ayurveda: A Review on Bridging Ancient Knowledge with Modern Science

Background: Ayurveda and Quantum physics, although developed in different eras but share same philosophical ideology at many places. This review investigates conceptual similarities between Ayurvedic principles including Pancha mahabhoota, Triguṇa, Doṣha‑Dhatu‑Mala, Ekadasa Indriya, Rasapanchaka with various concepts of quantum physics such as wave–particle duality, observer effect, quantum entanglement and energy fields which is helpful in proposing a holistic framework for health supported by both ancient wisdom and modern science. Method: We conducted a targeted literature review including Ayurvedic classical texts, peer‑reviewed articles from journals on quantum physics & consciousness, makes theoretical parallels between the fundamentals of Ayurveda and phenomena of Quantum physics. Results: The analysis reveals strong similarities between Ayurveda’s fundamental principles and quantum physics theories, Mantra and Chakra practices align with vibrational resonance healing, Doṣha‑Dhatu‑Mala frameworks shows parallel with energy field excitations and entropy, Triguna and Budhi- Vivek concepts resonate with quantum cognition and with observer effect. Conclusion: By highlighting these connections, the article aims to bridge the ancient spiritual wisdom with modern scientific understanding, offering a more holistic approach towards health. This integrative perspective may open new doors for interdisciplinary research and innovative healthcare models rooted in both tradition and modern science. Clinical significance: Clinically this helps in explaining the role of Marma chikitsa and meditation in healing, by using modern techniques which promotes the scientific validation of these traditional therapies. Integration of quantum theories with Ayurveda also helpful in managing chronic diseases and psychosomatic disorder. It creates deeper understanding of disease at energy and consciousness level.
