Abstract
Three new cadinane-type sesquiterpenes, eupatorinones (-), along with seven known compounds (), were obtained from the petroleum ether fraction of 95% ethanol extract of Spreng. The structures of these new compounds were determined by NMR, MS, and ECD spectra analysis. The configuration of compound was established by quantum chemical calculations of NMR chemical shifts and ECD spectra, that matched the experimental data. In addition, compounds , and increased the glucose uptake in L6 cells by 1.42, 1.21 and 1.60 times, respectively.[Formula: see text].
