Abstract

Abstract Thin-film Lithium Niobate on insulator is a promising material platform for contemporary photonic integrated devices owing to its large linear and nonlinear responses along with an exceptionally broad transmission window. We explore this material in the context of topological photonics to achieve high-speed and high-performance integrated waveguides for quantum photonic applications. In this paper, we present a Silicon Nitride-loaded Lithium Niobate waveguide that exhibits a topology-protected interface state of light. Our simulated results show a high $ Q$ -factor, a large bandwidth, and a good electro-optic overlap factor suitable for high-speed switching and robust routing in photonic and quantum circuits.
